The National Border Patrol Council has demonstrated support for the Presidential candidate, Donald Trump, recently. They consider him to be the man who will make the borders stronger and not fear the media. Donald Trump appreciated their support by stating that he is deeply grateful for the support and promising more resources if he gets to the White House.
The Contradiction between the Federal employees Unions
It is worthy to add here that the National Border Patrol Council is a subsidiary of the American Federation of Government Employees. The parent organization demonstrated support for another presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton. The MBPC currently has about 16,000 workers while the AFGE has more than 300,000 members.

The union also believes that Trump would accept the concepts of rank-and-file Border Patrol agents. The union called his approach a refreshing change that has never been seen before and may never be seen again.
Trump’s Strategies
Some of the statements made by Trump that may have led to the Unions’ support are his idea of creating a wall between Mexico and the United States, his idea to add more employees at Immigration and Customs Enforcement and his mention of the word “Swiss cheese” with regard to the current Southern border.
Trump’s Reply to the Support
The reaction offered by Donald trump to the new supporters is very predictable. He felt deeply grateful for their support and promised to boost the agency resources. He also stated that he will work in conjunction with the NBPC and the rank-and-file agents to make sure that all the American borders are secured permanently.
He also added that he will make sure that federal employees working for the NBPC get adequate support, tools and resources in order to deal with serious issues such as cartel violence, drugs and gangs. He believes that this would save billions of American tax dollars and millions of American lives and American jobs.
