The tragedy occurred at Henley Avenue area and Cherry Street in New Milford.
A recently retired employee that was working at main Post Office in Manhattan, 83-year-old Andres Villaluna was identified as the victim.
According to his son Andres Villaluna, Jr., he describes him as a hardworking and generous individual that spent 33 years of his life working, and he had retired the past year.
The motorist that found him says he did not see any person leave or stay after the accident. Villaluna Jr. and his family are in mourning, and it has kicked into their reality the passing of their father.

To him this was a passion, and he was dedicated, always worked hard, had a good personality, and he always sent money back to the Philippines to assist his siblings.
Investigation of the accident is ongoing, and no further details have been released. According to his son, he was returning home from his daily walk at the Welsh Farms that is nearby when he was hit while he was crossing the street.
