Federal employees are always on the lookout for something that can make their salaries a lot more than they currently are. In this regard, this budget silence can prove to be golden for them. They are all set to get the 1.3 percent raise on their salaries as the congress isn’t taking any action on the budget agreement that went down late last year. This inaction is not something new to the Congress as they have been doing this for the third year running.
Congress remains silent on the Federal employees’ raise:

Let’s take one such example. The locality of Washington-Baltimore that encompasses the Colombia District, Maryland and much of Northern Virginia and South-Central Pennsylvania among other regions will get a raise of about 1.5 percent give or take. This whole zone is only one of the gigantic 21 area zones that are all set to see expansion. Apart from this, there are 13 other zones that are also liable to get created. All in all, this would mean around 110 thousand federal employees getting pay boosts and are now evacuated from the “rest of the US” zone that they were infamously part of up till now.
Even though the executive order is still awaited in this regard, it’s expected that each and every single one of the employee is going to get what they were anticipating for quite long. News like this are welcomed by everybody regardless of the designation. The labor leaders were expecting a lot bigger raise but they are satisfied that at-least it’s not as low as it normally is.
